Required Education: | This position has an Individual Occupational Requirement. To meet minimum qualifications for the position, applicants must possess: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained. Required Experience: | In addition to meeting the basic requirement for the position, qualified applicants must possess: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-14 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience is defined as: experience evaluating health/human performance and dietetics/nutrition; developing policies and procedures; developing educational programs; and managing budget and multi-discipline staff. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. |
