Student Counseling Service:The SCS is one of 17 departments within the Division of Student Affairs. The SCS staff is composed of a director, two associate directors, five assistant directors, eighteen psychologists, sixteen professional counselors, six pre-doctoral interns, six practicum counselors, one case referral coordinator, one psychiatrist, one psychiatric nurse practitioner, three IT specialists, one HelpLine coordinator, one business administrator, six associate staff, and one student worker.Approximately 35-40 trained undergraduate and graduate students serve as members of the center’s after-hours HelpLine crisis line.The internship training program has been continuously accredited by APA since 1983.

College Station and Bryan, Texas:The combined population of the College Station/Bryan area is approximately 250,000.College Station and Bryan are located 95 miles northwest of Houston, 95 miles east of Austin, the state capitol, 200 miles south of Dallas-Fort Worth, and 150 miles northeast of San Antonio.Excellent schools, shopping, and recreational facilities are available in the community and surrounding areas.
