Description

Pace University College of Health Professions invites applications for a Director of Health Informatics. This is a full-time clinical faculty position (non-tenure track, 12-month contract) located on the New York City campus. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with educational preparation and experience, with an anticipated annual range of $110,000 - $120,000.

This position will be a combination of administration, teaching, and service. Administrative activities will include program and course development, student recruitment, student learning assessment and support, program progression standardization, seeking and sustaining programmatic accreditation, and faculty hiring and mentoring. This position does not have a research component. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and expertise in both academic administration and teaching at the post-secondary level. Experience with Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) is a plus but not essential.

Required Experience

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a master’s degree (doctorate preferred) in either a healthcare or information technology discipline (e.g., licensed healthcare discipline, public health, healthcare administration, informatics, artificial intelligence, computer science, statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, machine learning etc.)
  • Graduate teaching experience
  • Academic administrative experience
  • Online teaching experience
  • Must have US Employment Authorization

The master’s degree in Health Informatics is a collaboration between the College of Health Professions and the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems and is one of the University’s signature interdisciplinary degree programs.

The Seidenberg School has just moved into a new building and has state-of-the art facilities supporting its computer science and information systems educational and research activities. The fully online master’s degree in health informatics took its first cohort in fall 2023 and we are now launching an additional full-time in-person program on our NYC campus in the heart of the financial district. We seek an innovative and experienced health informatics expert to direct and further develop this program.
